g37 trunk with backup camera, on a non back up camera coupe

Exactly how the title states, if i were to put another trunk with a backup camera on my car, but my car did not come with that option (09 coupe no navi or backup), is there somehow I can make it work? Maybe some sort of software I would have to install? thanks

Oh and by the way, the car it would be coming off is a coupe, and so is mine, just to clarify that since the title doesn't state that.

I have installed a backup camera on my coupe. I tapped it into the RCA harness so you hit aux when you want the back up camera to turn on.

Wasn't too bad. Splicing into the back up camera wiring is pretty bad, the wiring is very small and doesn't have length, I need to have someone solder mine correctly at some point. So you need to lift the entire center console, there is a harness under there that connects into the back of the RCA thing. You just splice the RCA cable right into the video cable on the harness. Picture attached. Then wire up the back up camera to whatever power source. I just used the reverse lights. Ran the wire from under the front seat then into the small plastic panels by the door, runs all the way back up to trunk and through the oem harness holder and up onto the spoiler. Not all that bad.

I added a backup camera to my 09.

I had to buy a spoiler with a hole for the camera, a universal backup camera off ebay and a box from Naviks.

The box from Naviks backup camera to automatically display once the car is put into reverse.

Wiring was difficult and took about 6hrs.

Oh and I also machined up a little bracket to hold the camera and adjust the angle.

G37onbrembos, did you ever get the camera to work on your car? I'm looking to swap an oem trunk with a backup camera on my coupe without a backup camera. Anyone have any advice?
