I like it and now this will be my next mod. One mod leads to another.

A VR Sport Sedan with those wheels? Oh yeah, you should definitely black out that window trim.

You're on a roll lately. I think we should swap cars. (but just for pictures)

If you do de-chrome, I would use the same color of your wheels so you'll have a balance look.

No... gloss black vinyl to match the B-pillars.

Anyone have a black G with matte black window trim?

I did gloss black on mine, but it was my first time working with vinyl, so I'm thinking about redoing it, plus at about 2 yrs later, its starting to show it age (peeling, wrinkles)

Although gloss looks nice, thinking about changing up the look. Would think matte black would offer a nice contract, since basically the rest of my car is gloss black.

Gloss black. I don't want to have to change the color of the trim if I decide to change the wheel color.

Matte should look fine but I'd do the pillars too while you're at it.

I would be interested to see like a carbon fiber wrap or a gun metal gray wrap for the chrome trim.

Might ask this poster for more pics, he went w/ a graphite vinyl. And I'd strongly recommend not going w/ a CF trim, would be a step in the wrong direction, and probably a big step. https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...ml#post4073597

Another member, Broski did this.

I personally thought it looked great on his black car w/ his graphite wheels. Having dark tinted windows, I don't think it matters that it doesn't match the B-pillars.

^^^ETrev, thanks for posting that, I remembered there was a member that did that but couldn't recall, and IMO that one looks excellent.

Please: no carbon fiber - it's been done to death.

Definitely blacked out, looks sportier. This is what mine looks like with the vinyl wrap.

It's not a tough DIY and only costs about $25, here's the link~ https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...-g-sedans.html
First, not hating on your opinion. I've seen the gloss wrap in lots of photos and in person, and I just don't like it as much as matte. I was all about less chrome, and going with gloss didn't seem like enough of a change for me.

You're right, the vinyl fail was likely the installer (me) thinking I was handier with it than I actually was. I researched like crazy, prepped meticulously, and it was still tough to work with. All 3M stuff, but I really had a bad time with it, and it started peeling a couple of weeks later.

Just like others here speaking about vinyl wrap, I frankly don't understand the people having so much trouble with Plasti Dip. My grille and wheels have held up for two years each through a harsh Midwest winter, and the trim looks easily as good as matte vinyl wrap and just as durable. 5-7 heavy coats and I'm really pleased with the results.

Good looking cars in here, regardless of your choice!
