2011 g37. mines went out about 2 years ago and i think i had about 36K miles on the odometer. supposedly the clock light burning out is common problem and too bad its just not a bulb that can be replaced.

57k here. Noticed my clock works but doesn't light up today. Could have been like that for awhile and I just didn't notice it until now.

Surprised no one has figured this out yet. I have a Supra buddy who does all kinds of LED work and can ask him what he thinks.

It was theorized earlier in this thread that the springs around the power poles weaken and don't ensure contact between the power leads and the circuit board. One guy stretched the springs so they made firm contact and re-established lighting in his clock. Don't automatically assume the LED is bad.

why springs? to protect the sensitive parts inside the clock?

Smile 2011 G25 - Clock light fixed

I bought a 2011 G25 back in 2014, and shortly after the purchase, the clock light would flicker on and off. Sometimes it would stay on, or just would be off when dark. With the car now almost 6 years old and with the original battery, I replaced the car battery. Right after the battery was changed, I noticed the clock light now works perfectly!! Has anyone else noticed this happen with their clock light? I considered buying a replacement, but now it works after installing the new car battery.

Well, I tried the trick of dissembling the clock and stretching out the springs.

Nope. Didn't work for me.

Was it delicate or not bad?

I assume if the bulbs are shot you will need to solder new ones on...?

Its not too bad. You just need to be careful when separating the main part of the clock from the housing. There is no need to remove the hands.

I doubt very much that the led's are burnt out. There are two of them and for them both to go out at the same time doesn't make sense. Also the fact that they flicker before they go out completely leads me to believe that there is another factor here.
