I bought new fog light LEDs and everything I read said H8 were compatible. When I opened up the fog light I did not see an H8. Can someone tell me what kind of bulb this is? Is it stock?

 

It appears to be an HID kit was put into your fogs. Definitely not stock.

 

Thanks, I'll try to track them down. Looks like the previous owner had the same idea as me, but I would like to change the color temp if I can. Also the fogs do not always come on when the car starts even though they are turned on. I always switch off/on to be sure they are lit up. I may replace with a whole new hid kit.

 

Consider doing an LED retrofit instead, will put more usable light to the ground and won't blind people driving towards you.

 

I would love to do LEDs just not sure how to undo the hid kit that's installed. I wish it was stock just not sure how to put it back, heck I'm not sure what stock looks like since this is all I have seen. Lol.

 

Just buy Morimoto fog lights. Not bulbs - whole assembly and You done. Direct replacement for OEM fog lights so You don't have to f..k with hid kit or led bulbs.
