What can be done to update the Headlights?

Ok so I don't have the $ right now to get new headlights with all the led strips and blacked out that that vendor sells on here. Well I do, but wanna do a few more other mods first. What can be done to modernize and update the headlights some? I never like amber in anything so wanna hide the strip somehow. I've seen some pics and threads about headlight vinyl overlays....are they the way to go? If so could I get some input and also with the overlays is a vinyl car shop the place to get them professionally installed or would you go to a tint shop? Thanks in advance.

Set aside a weekend and do the headlights yourself, if you decide to change the projector lens (which I highly recommend) the cost will be about $50 + paint and sealer. They will look better than the overlays and you can do any paint scheme you want.

And the lenses and sealer here~

you'd want the TSX-R lens and butyl tape seealer.

I have a guy in Ohio that can do your headlights for a good price, it will be about a week turnaround time with shipping. The best way to go is get them painted inside and getting rid of the amber strip

I opened up mine and can say pretty much as long as you have a decent size oven and some patience, its not that hard at all. Just time consuming. I recommend taking a full day or even weekend and taking your time. The more time you spend prepping and doing things right, the better it will come out.

Yeahhhhh I'm all about "some" DIY projects, but the headlights just seem a lot of work and for some god forsaken reason I would mess something up I would be out a lot of money replacing them.....but I can't go a week without headlights bc it's my daily, and I really don't wanna pay more than like $200 or so for now until I get a drop and wheels.......hmmmmm......
