DRL Lights

I got my G about a month ago and noticed that I don't have DRLs working on it.
It's 2009, so from my understanding the DRLs are in the same housing as the fog-lights (correct me if I'm wrong).
I haven't taken it in yet, but I'm curious what my troubleshooting steps are. Change the actual bulbs, and check the fuses? Anything else I should try?

Any advice appreciated!
This is a Canadian car so they should be always on.

replace fuse (cheap and easy), then replace the bulbs with some LED's that look nice with the HID's (and will last longer if/when they are working).

if everything works, great. if not, then you'll have to investigate further, but at least you'll know the fuse and bulbs are good.

i'm no expert on all flavors/years of G37's, but i believe the Canadian DRL's are in the main headlight housing.

edit: here's a video how to replace them:
