DRL wiring help

Hi all,

I just installed some LED drl with a voltage sensitive DRL module that I bought from ebay. I connected the module to the battery -/+ terminals. It's supposed to turn on and off with the car. However it only turns the LEDs on but never turns them off. Does anyone have any idea of how to correctly wire the DRL? Thanks in advance!

Wiring is as simple as it gets, red wire to the positive battery terminal and the other to the negative terminal. If the LED's stay on without the engine running, the control module might not be sensing the proper voltage differential, which is probably around 1.25 volts. Try them on another car if you can, if the problem persists, you have a defective unit.

Good point. I'll try to test it on another car. I remember reading somewhere that the IPDM needs to be off for the DRL module to work properly. Do you have any idea about that?
