Possible to turn on front headlights only?

You'll have to DIY them for your G. Since DRLs are not a requirement in the U.S. it's up the the manufacturer whether or not to install them. I believe there are some European and Canadian requirements, which would account for seeing them on a lot of European vehicles. There are many kits available. Difficulty and price may depend on where you want the DRLs installed.

people have wired their foglights as their DRL's, including myself. you could probably do it with the parking/running lights also.
