Passenger Side seat
Passenger Side seat
So I think I might have posted my question in the wrong spot, so ill try here with a pic. Anycase, one side of the passernger side seat is not working. Im thinking it is a stripped gear based off what Ive read up, main issue is the instructions I found online say to remove the 3 screws from the gear housing and pull off the plate which exposes the gear.. Well my G37 has a bolt with a nut on the front side of the plate so it will not come off. When I put a socket on the nut, all it does is turn the bolt and I assume it is attached to the gear that is stripped. Anyone know how to get the nut off? (no funny jokes, even though this sounds funny lol)

Fully appreciate the link above, but this is not a "its not working at all", just the right side of the passenger seat, its a stripped gear. Question now is how to replace the gear as my set up looks different than what odometer gears shows on the website. Local shop is quoting me 800.00 to replace the seat with a used one but looks like I can do that pretty easy on my own buy going to a pick and pull. Does anyone know if the sports seats will fit into the G37 journey and maintain all the functions? I assume the fuctions of the sports seats are built into the seat, not the car. Thoughts?
