Removal of this piece from the front bumper

Going to add some lights to the blanks in the lower corners of the bumper (Nothing there for '09, but '10 and up have fog lights there). Need to know if I need to get to them from the wheel well or by removing the cover from below.

Thanks

It's easy to access them from below; just drop the covers under there. You may find that you need a later model windshield washer reservoir though, as it extends down on the passenger side right behind that cover. The later models have a bottle of a different shape that allows more clearance for the fogs.

I'd be interested in your set up. There are a couple I've seen on here that look good but not quite exactly what I want.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Well, I took down the cover below the engine only to find that with (at least the '09) that part is part of the bumber itself. And since it is molded to look like expanded metal, it's not gonna be a very even surface. So I'm back to the drawing board in figuring out what I want to do as far as a DRL mod.

FYI for anyone following, my 2013 (so presumably all 2010+) non-sport sedan front bumper is the same way. What appears to be a perfectly removable black mesh panel on the front side is actually part of the entire bumper mold. Here is a photo of the drivers side taken with the wheel well liner removed.

That's interesting. I have the G37xS, yet this is molded. Though I don't believe they started putting fog lights there til '10+ so all of the bumpers for '08/'09 may be that way.
