my g37x coupe after GTR overlays

This is my 2009 g37x coupe.
I ordered overlays for head lights, tail lights, and rear chrome deck lid from bluebat.
No installers in NY area that bluebat introduced willing to install the overlays.
As a result, I tried to do it by myself and... I screwed!!!!!!
Fuxx!!!!!!!
Overlays from Bluebat is not cheap.
Unless you have some experience or shops that can do it for you, do not ever try this....
I feel like I just wasted all my money....

Was the piece that covers the chrome deck lid hard to put on?

From his post, I am going to say yes, they were all challenging to install and are not up to his expectations.

I started with chrome decklid first and It was the easiest installation because the rear deck does not have curb. It came out okay than other places.
Personally I like chrome than this glossy black.
But yes, it was NOT up to my expectation.
If you are interested in doing by yourself, overlay for chrome deck is relatively easy. Just don't do headlights and taillights by yourself.

They charge 250 for gtr taillights. I know they do a good job, but personally I think that it is too expensive. Also, you cannot come back to stock from painted one.
For people who wants to mod lights, I suggest them to go to tint shop and put vinyl (overlays) on your lights. Usually shops charge 100 for headlights and another 100 for taillights. Also, you caneed get rid of them and come back to stock whenever you want.
From my experience, this is not a high price compared to what they do.
I mean I freaking spent over 100 dollars on overlays and spent 5hours for installation, and they look very ****ty.
Again, don't buy overlays unless you have experience. Although sellers introduce installers, make sure you call them and check if they really install with seller's overlays before you order them.

We have a professional vinyl install on staff, do full car wraps and all these small pieces... some things we choose to paint, others to wrap... taillights is one of those we choose to paint even though we can vinyl for cheaper and quick. Why? Because the end result is 10x better

Scott, who did u contact re install? I've had many customers get my overlays installed by some of my installers in the area. Sometimes installers wont do it because they want you to use their material. My installer Matt did many installs in the Queens area, but he is in another state now installing for me. I can understand your frustration, and although many of my customers were able to install on their own, others felt more comfortable getting someone to install for them. Check your pm .

overlays scratch easily, dull over time, wrinkle at edges, and dont look as nice. imo overlays are not worth it. tails look much nicer painted

If not taken care of yes. I have customers that still have my overlays on their car's from 2004, and still looking fresh .
