Trunk lid / 3rd brake light question

for people with G37S Coupes and the sport spoilers...when upgrading to a carbon fiber or aftermarket trunk lid.... what are you doing with the 3rd brake light? do you simply leave it off or modify to a base style 3rd brake light that sits behind the rear glass.

thanks for you help!

I'm in same position as you. I'd like to remove mine. I keep wondering if it's possible that I could cut the current one out, and sew it up well enough that you wouldnt know anything was ever there

Yea cant seem to find a good respone yet, i assume that the harness for the existing brake light just sit wrapped up inside the trunk and not used.... is a 3rd brake light a must have street legal kind of thing?

It is. I can't imagine that a cop and maybe even an inspection shop would notice if you didn't have it though...as long as it's not hideously obvious that it's not there
