What is a "roles"?

The short answer is, please don't dip your car.

It never looks as good as a proper paint job, doesn't last nearly as long, and is not NEARLY as easy to "just peel of" as everyone would have you believe.

As far as changing documents, for a temporary thing like a plastidip, I don't think you need to, but for permanent changes like a proper paint job, yes I would say you need to update your insurance and rego.

I din't know exactly about the car documents, but plasti dip if applied with enough layer can be easily peeled in one piece. Its when you have spots where you didn't spray fully or oversprays where its hard to remove. In thay case you can use googone, you should do a bit of your own research on this and whether or not it damages the paint. Add googone onto the overspray of plasti dip and give in maybe a minute then wipe down. It's like magic it comes right off. Just make sure to wash yiur car after using googone.

If you really want it to look good get a wrap plastic dip is hardly ever even all around. For example close to me there's a guy with a plastic dipped IS250 the thing look like a chalk board.

It comes down to your own opinion. Wraps definitely takes more work and money, but the quality is top notch. Plasti dip, if applied evenly, can actaully come out nice. It is cheap but yet not long lasting.I went with plasti dipping my grill and back chrome lip, with the words. It came out nice and most importantly for me it was cheap and easy to do. To plasti dip your whole car you should get the sprayer they sell online. And remember to always spray each portion from the same distance, 12-24 inches.

"Roles"

I can attest that after wrapping my car with vinyl I did not have to change my 'roles'. I confirmed this with my insurance company and my state DMV. According to both entities, it wasn't a permanent change.

I went from OB to a black metallic gloss with grey flakes.

Cheers!

I had a friend who "dipped" his truck and up close it really looks decent if you like the matte finish, but at ANY distance (8feet and beyond I'd say) you can see how it's uneven and starting to get blemishes. Rock chips turn into bubbles. He painted it within the year, did a lot of prep and even purchased the sprayer they sell specifically for dipping your whole car.

Moral of the story, PLEASE DON'T DO IT. It's not that cool really, my opinion obviously. If you have to dip a car, go buy a Cavalier or something.
