I have a '12 Coupe XS. In the 2008 that I had prior, I had the Ambient lighting kit installed (led's that shine down on the floorwells when the park/headlights are on). I was thinking about installing the ambient lighting kit in my '12 G as well. While I was on Nissan's website, helping a friend build out a Maxima and Murano, I noticed that both of those vehicles (I didn't check others) offer a 20 color LED ambient lighting kit. I'm assuming that the ONLY difference between the 20 color kit that Nissan offers and the 1 color kit that Infiniti offers is the fact that there will be a switch somewhere to switch the colors, which I would have to find a place to mount (not a problem or concern).

With that being said, has anyone attempted the installation of the 20 color LED Kit into an Infiniti?

I asked the very same question to the Nismo Shop in West Covina, and here is there response: "The lighting kit is universal however, it will require some splicing to install this onto your vehicle."

I don't know if anyone has attempted this, but I sure would like to know more now.
