Hello. Like with all my previous posts, I sincerely apologize if there's another thread about this; I've tried my best to search around this forum.

As you all know, paint chipping is.. not rare for our cars so I was planning on getting my entire front bumper repainted and then adding clear protection film.

I was also planning on getting the JP front lip and sides and I was wondering if I should have the protection film put on with the lip or beforehand?

Oh and while I'm here, I have another quick question. The shop I was thinking of going to quoted me $750 for both the paint job of the front bumper and the clear film. That's not too cheap right? People say you get what you pay for and I'd like to think I'm paying enough for a decent job (though I'm sure there are many overpriced shops that do horrible jobs).

Sounds like a fair price, and probably easier to get the bumper & lip protected at the same time. Be sure to wait the req'd curing time before applying the clear film, I've heard problems can result if it's put on right after being freshly painted.

 

$200????? where are you located? and any pics of the $200 jobs? Don't you need to sand down the old paint or other prep jobs?

I know Korean is much cheaper to paint.... I heard around half the price here not $750 vs $200.....

 

What are you going to spray it with rattle cans? Do you have a filtered spray booth in your garage? Bake Oven Paint Booth? What are you going to use for clear bra? It won't even dry in less than an hour.
