rear brake light out

Today I was driving in front of my friend and he noticed that the brake light behind my rear windshield was out. I dont know what the problem is and was wondering if anybody had this issue or know why its out. I am thinking and hopping its just a fuse issue. Any sort of feedback would be great, thanks

Could be just a bulb, I believe that is not a LED bulb and you can get to it through the trunk.

I'm pretty sure those are LEDs.

Owner's manual for my 2012 says they're LED. If it's just the third brake light that's out, it's not a fuse issue.

You can pull down the liner in the trunk right under the 3rd brake light to gain access to the pigtail. I'd try messing with that first, then my next guess is to replace the 3rd brake light itself.
