I went with the 5 LED since they were cheaper. Even if there's a tiny bit of glow, I don't mind, as long as it doesn't last too long.

Well the glow (if there is any) will last the entire time ... its doesn't go away after a period of time. What typically happens is there is a tickle of line voltage on the circuit and the LED's pick that up. Again, I have these bulbs and if there is any, you probably need to take the cover off and look for it. Now in my Xterra, the light over the back seat glows pretty good. I think it has more to do with the car circuitry rather than the bulb..... IMHO.

Not sure what you mean by entire time...do they keep glowing from the time you turn off the car and lock it to the time you unlock it again? Wouldn't that drain the battery?

I had similar LEDs in my Scion and they'd stop glowing after a minute or two.
