MT and AT center console, interchangeable?

Hey All,

I have an AT G37 and need to know if an MT center console would fit in my car since I'll be using an MT of an RB25.

Cheers,
Sam

Sam, I believe they are vastly different. The MT has provisions for the parking brake, while the AT has the brake to the left of the brake pedal. The MT unit is a whole lot narrower too.

Thanks for the info JSolo

I'm thinking with my MT swap if whether I should modify the AT center console or get me an MT one

If you have an AT console I would try that first as I like the AT console better. Are you planning on going to a hand brake though?

Your clutch pedal will be installed in the current location of your foot brake. Your foot brake will need to be converted into a hand brake. Your hand brake will be mounted on the console, hence you'll need the MT console. And yes they're interchangeable.

BTW, why RB25 trans? It's a 5spd with very different bell housing and mounting points.

For now yes, I got the whole pedal assembly off an R33 Skyline and with the measurements take the shop said we won't have to relocate the foot brake.

That's good news, that will be my plan B then.
