Anyone add cooled seats like in the convertible?
I used to live in FL and cooled seats would have been a great option since it's so hot most of the year. I actually always kept a beach towel in the back so when I first got in, I could put it over the driver seat so my back didn't sweat like crazy!
Curb weight - the main drawback is, with all the new technology, air bags, and other options in modern luxury cars, automakers are having a difficult time keeping the curb weights from rising. It's difficult to balance maintaining a nimble performance car while also providing all of the latest comfort options.

I have a 2012 vert and it has cooled seats. Nice!
Thats some funny stuff right there!
And as far as cooled seats they sure would be nice out here in Vegas.
To my immediate knowledge, no. It has never been done. There was talk about wanting to put the M37/56 seats into the sedan but nothing came of that either AFAIK. At one point years ago I was interested in swapping to the red interior from the 'Vert but, in the end, besides sourcing seats reasonably priced and in decent shape/condition (next to impossible at the time), the guts of the project just seemed more work and cost for the ultimate gain.
While the seats will physically fit (they are heavier, though) the electrics are different. Depending on the year/features of your Coupe certain systems like the seat heater, ADP, and, more importantly, SRS may be different. All of this can likely be made to work but will require re-wiring of harnesses (center console switches included), seat modules, and adding harnesses for things like AudioPilot (easy enough- I did that a few years ago for the headrest speakers), and whatever needs the seat modules needs. TED comes to mind (if you are going true cooled seats). Pull the wiring diagrams for both cars and start comparing.
Also, keep in mind that, while minimal, there have been reports of the 'Vert seats meting wiring connectors.
To me, it seems to be too much work just to add a fan to cool your bum but...
Feel free to be the first to make it happen!

I've got the ventilated and cooled seats from a Z roadster in my '08 coupe.
Had to swap the outside rails, and the wiring is PIA. (Or was it the inside rails? I dont remember, but had to use one G and one Z rail per seat)
They are awesome! Florida is brutal, and swamp *** is real.
seats sit like three inches lower and shave like, 75 lbs!
Not as comfortable as the leather base model cushions, FYI.
Simply used the stock headrests, no extra speakers for me.
And there are DIY write-ups here, they helped me with the wiring/switches.
note: G vert seats have a bulky, heavy air bag activated rollbar,
roadsters do not.
Oh yeah, the cooling element in these seats can also heat. Which is handy when you bypass the heater core.
Only downside is you can't get fitted seat covers readily

Well there you go...
And why, @SkysG37, are we just learning of this now, hmmm...
When there's a will....
To note, on the 'Vert, only the rear seat back has the two pop-up rollbars.

The search function in most forums sucks.
now that "Ai" has infected Google and other search engines, its almost impossible to find anything anymore.
But, there are write ups here in myG37 and on nicoclub.
i dud a write up w/pics and everything.
if someone finds it, post a link here in thos thread for hero status

applaud your transparency. I was thinking the same thing when I read the post you responded to…
Do cooled seats work well? What’s the active mechanism I. A cooled ventilated seat? Is there a condenser coil in there :-)

Ill have to snap some fresh pics
And dig through my phone's gallery. I had video and everything
here's a link to a thread thread370z.com forum that helped me figure out the wiring

And the cooling works via a magic "piezo" plate.
Run DC current across it one way it cools, and the other it heats.
Combine hat with some fans and somw fart channels in the seat foam, you get cooled or heated seats!
I've got mine set up with a toggle to run just the fans if I want.
