anyone have experience with this? if it will work on small chips i dont want to waste time calling safelite. any input would be appreciated thanks

It works. I had a rock chip that caused a 2 inch crack. I bought a kit and used it on the crack. It shrunk the crack a little bit. But the important thing is that the crack did not spread.

How is it wasting your time, calling Safelite, if your going to have to spend time patching it yourself. I would think that Safelite would do a better job. They will come to your house or business and most insurance companies wave the deduction, since it saves them from paying for a new windshield.

I fixed a huge chip (The hole itself was 1/4-inch, the spiderweb behind it was about 1-inch) recently, if you look closely you can still see it but like Modme says, it should stop the windshield from cracking further.

It works, but not perfect. Sometimes you will still see a little "bubble" after it's filled in. All depends on the damage, etc.
