Driver seat problem and dealership-please read

My 37 coupe s driver seat only has 12,000 mles and im 165 pounds.
I noticed the foam inside the bolster is deformed and looks like the top edge of the foam has dropped and created a crater in the seat and looks horrible.
Yesterday i took it to the service dept at dealership and they told me thats just how it is. because of getting in and ouit of the car. I have owned about 10 cars and 4 inwhich were brand new and never had this problem, he continued to tell me its the design of this seat with high bolsters. I had a 91 300zx and put 150,000 miles on it and that seat was very similar o the g37 seat and i never had any problem like this all those years with the 300zx. anyone else ever have this problem? anything can be done?
p.s. not sure how to add a pic
thx, steve<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I have somewhat a similar problem that's creating bubble seat at 13k now it's at 18k and looks horrible. Makes it look cheap! I will try to contact them sometime about the issue see what they can do.

The butt crater will happen to everyone with the sport seats. Even if they replace it, it'll happen again.

One thing to keep in mind is that even if they do replace it, you'll have a brand new seat that'll look different than the passenger seat on account of being unused.

Until Infiniti changes the design of the seat--take a look at the 09+ FX for example--it's just going to keep happening.

I had mine replaced under warranty in february. By mid april it was back. It looks like it's just one of those things we have to deal with until they redesign.

I have has the same problem starting about 3 months after getting the car and progressively getting worse (car is 2yr old journey model). It's to the point that I feel the 2 metal bars that run along the length of the seat (sometimes painful). The dealer claims it's "wear and tear" but it's gotten ridiculous. I'm not sure I would even want them to fix it if it's just going to come back again. I plan to take it to a local upholstery guy to see what he recommends.

this was my seat @ 7000 miles. It's a little worse now, but not much. I condition my seats every 2 months with Zaino leather in a bottle. That stuff helps a lot to keep the leather soft and from aging. The bubble usually goes away after i condition it, but returns after a while. You can also see all the creases on the bolster. I always try to avoid the bolster as much as possible when entering and exiting the car. And I never just sit half way on the seat so I'm on the bolster.

Mines worse than that now. Mine even has some wrinkles in it. I am 175 and my wife is 105. I don't think our butts should be doing that kind of damaged so soon. The thing is there are a lot of threads on this so I knew what was up. I bought the car with 1,200 miles and it was already happening.
