Question Help! Can I lower seat position?

Owned a 2010 G37xs for about a year now and feel the drivers seat position is just way to high. It takes away from the sporty feel and it's awkward with the seat so high relative to how far down the pedals are. The dealership won't consider making any attempt to adjust.

Anyone had success lowing the seat position? Any easy DIY fixes?

Please help! Many Thanks!!!

-John

Is your seat stuck/broken or something? You're the first person that I hear this from. The G37S seat position is known to be particularly low and sporty-like, and that's one of the appealing things about it. It really goes down far as well, so I've never heard anyone complain about a seat being too high while it was made to be low in the first place. Maybe something is wrong with yours.

There have been numerous complaints, on the G forums, about the lowest height setting on the G sedans.
The first gen G35 sedan owners went as far as to modify there's to go 3/4" lower than the factory setting. Unfortunately the same mod isnt applicable on second generation G35/37's.
For me, at 5'11" tall, it's fine.

I've read that the mod still applicable to G37, but the access to the stopping nut is now from the front, not back. My dealership will take a look if it's possible to lower the seat while they installing factory parts on my G.

This is it. It's a little different than the 1st gen G35 seat mod.

If you want to feel like you are laying flat in a bathtub buy a GM product. Personally I like being able to place my left elbow on the door.

Thank you for this thread. I'm 6ft 3 and prefer to sit up in my seat rather then recline back like a gangster thus the seat was to high in the lowest setting.
