Back Seat Cup holders

Is that thing between the 2 back seats really a cup holder? It look like it couldn't hold anything bigger then a shot glass. Or is that something else?

I bought my car used and don't have a manual. It is a 2008 coupe Sport if that makes a difference.

All our cupholders suck ! The front can't even fit 2 cups at the same time and the back is way too small. But good thing my back seats aren't used !

Do people actually use cup holders in their cars (besides minivans I guess)? I've never used them in any of my cars and don't know anyone who has either. It's way too easy to spill something.

Only thing that goes in my cupholder is my Starbucks aluminum coffee canister/cup. We also have the holders for larger cups on the side of our doors (up front in the pockets)

every day, i grab 2 large coffees for my old man (boss) and myself. i have to put one in the cup holder closer to the arm rest, and the other in the rear cup holder...both are tight fits and scare the hell out of me b/c i think they will spill all over. luckily its only a 3/4 mile trip from DD to work

but yeah, our cup holders are hideous

I never will use my backseats, and I rarely use a cupholder. I use my front one for storage most of the time. I was just looking at the thing in the back and wondering how you could even fit a small cup in there.

Aren't the sides only for capped bottles ? I'm sure drinks would spill right ?

We keep our water bottles in the sides. It works great for that.
