iron man v2.5 led's

hey guys noob question here. i'm contemplating getting the iron man v2.5 headlights but have a few questions:

1- do they replace the stock headlights and appear brighter or are they just led lights surrounding the stock headlights?

2- if the intensity of the lights are stronger, does that mean it uses up battery faster?

3- has anyone had any problems with these lights such as burning out too fast, one light not turning on, etc?

1 - they are installed on your current headlights, or i think 180Customs has a core exchange for them, don't hold me to that

2 - They're LED's..... you could leave them on for 3 years with the car off and your battery would probably still be good

3 - People were all having problems for a while with them in earlier versions but i believe the v2.5's are good to go and the problems have been fixed.

again don't hold me to any of this, i'm not 100%, ive just read a lot on them because i want them as well.

you questions are better sent do 180Custom, heres the home page. https://www.myg37.com/forums/members...180custom.html

Good Luck

Romulus1 pretty much answered all your questions precisely. Just to give some more insight about the LED reliability, I got my iron mans done last summer and by winter more than half the LEDs burned out or were sometimes on/sometimes off. This was before v2.5. In February of 2011, I went back to them to get it fixed. They gave me no issues whatsoever and were very honest. They explained that they had issues with their distributer or LEDs and had been spending the last few months finding a reliable vendor. Once they had field tested a new vendor for a few months under very strenuous conditions, they were willing to begin warranting peoples' iron man headlights. With my old set I realized most of the LEDs would be out during cold conditions, and even with this winter of 2011, none of my LEDs on my new iron man v2.5's went out. They are still going strong, and time will be the only way to truly tell how long these last. I trust the guys at 180 customs for doing their research, and if they are confident in the LEDs, then well, its good enough for me. Either way, 180 customs is very good at doing warrantee work, and they didnt hassle me at all.
I started a thread as an ongoing review for these new iron mans v2.5. You can see how they look on a OB coupe if you haven't already done so. Plus, if anything does occur to mine, ill be sure to post it on that thread.

Romulus said it all. Only thing I can add is that I went with the IM V2 in 2009 and have no issues to date. Still as bright as on day 1.

PM's and stuff its harder for them to get ahold of you since they get so many. Calling is definitely the easiest way to get ahold of them.
