1800 miles, just out the break in period, and the drivers seat is already showing signs of 'bubble butt'. *sigh*

Every time I've seen bubbling it's one side of the seat and I think the cause is people wearing thier wallets which creates uneven pressure on the seat causing one side to stretch more then the other resulting in the bubble. 4 years of not wearing a wallet and I have no bubbling.

8000km on mine. No wallet or anything in my backpocket. I have two bubbles. One for each butt cheek. I must just have a ghetto booty

There is a new TSB from Infiniti. It says customers with seat bubbling should start taking pro-biotics to reduce their emissions. The TSB also states drivers should put plastic sheeting on seat surfaces prior to late night Taco Bell runs.

Funny, but I'd bet that's the truth... I have no butt. Maybe we should call it a feature... it's a getto butt detector.

I've got two bubbles, one for each cheek. So it's not exclusively a wallet thing.

I agree with this although my seat only got the bubble on the opposite side, (wallet left side, bubble on the right). I think I may have caused this one day when I was standing outside the car on the drivers side; I leaned in and sunk my knee into the seat in order to reach over to get something out of the glove box...Just did this one time but it put alot more stress in that one area, more than the thickest of wallets.

I weigh 135 lbs, and I have two bubbles for each cheek, so it can't be a weight issue. I saw it starting from ~3000 miles. Do I just have to call in and ask the dealers to replace the seats for me? How do you know which ones will or will not or will I need to go to a dealer to check it out?

You're also from NC. How often have you used the seat heater?

My 2011 coupe has only 1800 miles on it, less than a month old, and my seat already shows signs of butt-bubble, but I use the seat heater, cuz it's so friggin cold.

I didn't get the seat bubbles until I started using my seat heaters. The passenger side is perfect and the drive side has two butt bubbles. I might get it replaced in the next year or so

I have a 2009 Journey with Sport package and had my seat bottom replaced at around 10K miles. I never put a wallet in my back pocket and weigh about 180 pounds. The bubble is back at 28K miles. Not sure what I am going to do or if I have any more options. This along with the auto shifter **** have been my biggest problems. I replaced the **** with an M shifter but the seat is a disappointing PIA.

I didn't get the bubble problem until I used the seat heater. I'm really wondering if the heater is melting the adhesive.
