Painting emblems/badges

Black fits my color scheme much better than the chrome emblems, but I don't care to pay $230 for a set of black ones..

Has anyone DIY'd and painted their own? Tips? Advice?

yes I have. not hard at all. the rear emblem is just taped on but mark the position of the symbol so you can put it on evenly after painting.

other than that, you just sand it down with sandpaper (think i used 400). spray some primer, paint, clearcoat and your done.
