Has anyone done this? My main question is: Does the taillight get cut open similar to what is done to make the Ironman Mod?

My fallback position is to get tint overlays, ala Blue Batmobile, but I want a GTR style that is alittle darker and prefer that it be on the inside of the lens. Thanks for your help.

 

No they aren't taken apart. They are painted on the outside of the light with a special mix of black and clear to get a translucent finish.

 

the headlights never get cut open, they are baked to losen the glue then just pulled open, and no the taillights are never opened like the headlights

 

overlays looks cheap man! get then painted is the way to go.

You did yours from the inside, didn't you? What did you have to do special to paint your inside lens?
