OEM Spoiler brake light question

I have a G37s with the chrome piece on the trunk. The car has the rear camera. I want to install the OEM spoiler which, i guess, has a brake light in it. So, I would have the original brake light in the back window AND the rear light in the new OEM spoiler.

Is there anything wrong OR illegal with that?

Everyone seems to be really worried about having two high-mounted brake lights on the back of the car. Just curious because I wouldn't care...the more brake lights the better i say.

It's going to look retarded. Do yourself a favor and get a blank rear shelf. It's not a Christmas tree.

It will not look good with a brake light in the window and on the spoiler. Just get one w/o the rear brake light.

orrrr, if you plan on getting windows tinted, tint over that decklid brakelight and disconnect it. nobody will ever know its there. not sure if that will cause some warning light though.

just disconnect the brake light in the window. 2 3rd brake lights on top of eachother is retarded.

I just ordered a OEM spoiler, not sure when it will arrive. I'll have the same choice to make eventually.

Can you post a pic of what it looks like by any chance? I'm looking to get a spoiler but I don't want to deal with the rear shelf hassle

My OEM spoiler for the 2009 does not have a brake light. I think some of the earlier models did, and they disconnected (or even removed) the center brake light in the rear window when installing it.

EDIT: What I say applies to the Sedan. I guess it's not the same for the coupe -- sorry.

I left mine alone, came like that from the factory. Beside I'd rather have the extra light to let the dumb@sses know I am stopped or stopping...
