Help How to get off shift knob housing

How to get off shift **** housing
Today i was tryin to take off the shift **** housing (09 g37x coupe) and i couldnt get the
thing off. I got the shift **** off but i couldnt find a way to get the silver housing off, i pulled it back till it was loose then i just couldnt pull it up. Can someone please help me, thankyou

there are the clips that come off, and then there is 1 screw in the rear (closest to the back of the car) that is holding it down to, you kind of have to get it loose and then get a screwdriver under to undo the screw

I lost ya there lol. Ok i got the silver washii piece up and i can move it around a little bit but i think the cigerette lighter wire might be the problem........... now where is this screw your talking about?

well im assuming youre AT since you have an X. So there shouldnt be a screw.
After you take the **** off, just stick your finger in where the bottom of the boot is and try and pull it up, it should just pop out but its gonna be hard the first time.
You can also try using a flathead screwdriver but youre most likely going to damage the washi.
