Front winshield tint
Front winshield tint
Are there any pictures of a g37 with front windshield tint? I know in california we can tint it up to a certain level. I was wondering would our cars would llook like with tint up front
We can't tint the front windows or windshield in California. At least not legally. The law allows for manufacturers tint up to 88%, but none applied on our own. That being said, I've considered getting windshield tint myself and would like to see pictures.
I'm also deciding between 20% and 35% for the front windows and have seen pictures of 20% tint. Do you have any pictures with your 35% tint?

We’re back to this topic again. Windshield tint beyond OEM is illegal everywhere mainly because it is unsafe for night driving.
Perhaps someone can explain to me why we disallow posts on hacking nav systems due to the dangers and liability involved, but we routinely allow discussions on something that can be even more hazardous like windshield tints.

its illegal for windshield but i think fronts you can go go up 75% but im not certain on this. I have my windshield at 70%, 25% fronts, and 15% rears and i LOVE my tints. for me 70% windshield is perfect but thats just imo. looks amazing in the dark, shade, and when its cloudy but not dark enough to get hassled.

C'mon Chekov... You can't govern everything!!!
You gonna start lecturing about Texting and Driving soon? (Which btw is NG, just sayin...)
What if I actually want to step on the gas and go fast???
Should we not allow posts on how fast this car can go???
Please, this is a sports car forum dude... Its UN-American to disallow posts!
Your not the stupid ***** who is tinting his windshield... He'll find out the
hard way when he realizes he can't drive his car at night time... LOL
Can't babysit people... I understand the Nav hack liability, but you can't start disallowing posts based upon what people are doing to their vehicle.
Might as well shut down... 90% of why people join is to talk Mods...
Some are cool; Some are really cool, and some are just really f'n stupid, but it is what it is man!
Keep on cruising your bad *** g coupe... And chill

Jamler,
I really don’t disagree with you, and BTW I totally agree with our policy on nav hacking. I was just pointing an inconsistency of disallowing one dangerous thing while allowing another.
Furthermore, it’s easy to say the driver with 20% windshield tint is assuming his or her own risk, but I would hate to be the unlucky sap that gets run over and killed some night because he didn’t see me crossing a street.

Tinting the front windshield is not legal in CA. I think hispeed-lowdrag was talking about 20% for the front driver and passenger windows too, not the the windshield. 20% on windshield would be pretty dark!
I thought about doing the windshield when I was getting tint but the guy convinced me out of it because I have black interior. Getting tint all around will already reduce the light going in, so looking into the car through the windshield, will already appear pretty dark. IMO, I'd rather leave the windshield alone so I can see better out of it at night.

Not to be a nag, but you cannot assume the risk to others that may affected by a night accident caused by your illegal tints. If the consequence is the death of a pedestrian or other driver, what does your willingness to face that consequence mean?
Doesnt that also go the same for slamming your car and stretching your tires. a blown tire or a ripped off bumper could be a real danger to other drivers/pedestrians.
nobody can tell my windshield is tinted unless i mention it and sometimes they still cant even tell from the inside. I just dont think its a big enough factor to put my life and others at risk.
