do they make that with a slight bluish tint? i love the intensity but want a bluish LED color...
The lights did some of the work, I edited out the rest of the plate They do have a slight blue tint in some angles and times of day, for example these are the same LED's in my marker lights and for whatever reason they look much more blue.

Guess the imaging of the camera might change a bit due to the low light as well

wow youre right. im not a camera geek but im guessing the color change comes from a different wavelength, which probably happened when the light traveled through the plastic encasing.

so for $40 i can get the same effect...? im thinking i will go ahead and splurge. for the license plate ive gone through 4 bulbs already, as 2 of them burnt out. hopefully these nicer, more expensive bulbs have some staying power.

thx for taking those pics, tony.

Yup, $20 a pair in either 5000k or 6000k. Look for coupon codes they send out on their facebook page once in a while up to 20% off that ive used and seen, could save you a bunch of money if you are ordering other items as well.

Mine were 5SMT 6K bulbs for 9 bucks a pair (more than bright enough for a license plate, I don't get why people are talking about high power). They definitely have a blueish tint that varies quite a bit in pictures. However here is one I took that I feel pretty closely represents how they look in real life

Just picked up 3 sets of the 5K for doors, maps, and plates...can't wait. Used NVMOTIV for 15% off too!

*** UPDATE *** I Decided to swap my interior LEDS once again from v-leds.com 5K SMT HIGH POWER LED LIGHT BULBS to the 6K WHITE SMT X5 HIGH POWER LED LIGHT BULBS and now I'm really happy with the look! The 6K X5 LEDS cost a few bucks more a pair but the intensity is much more white and clean and they match the OEM illuminated kickplates perfectly.

I highly recommend these too all G37 owners who want a quick, high-quality LED upgrade. Link found below:

I've been contemplating which one to get but one thing I need to know is, does this bulb fit the door, map, vanity, and license plate light?

These LED's will fit the doors, above rear doors (If you have a sedan), map/dome lamps, license plate, trunk, as well as front running/marker lights. The flip-down vanity lights are different. See my bulb size/spec list I had on another thread below:

Interior: Map Lights 2 x 194 Style LEDS / Puddle Lamps 2 x 194 Style LEDS (One in each door) / Rear Reading Lamps 2 x 194 Style LEDS (One in each) / Trunk 1 x 194 Style LEDS / Glove Box 1 x 57 Style LED / Front Vanity Mirrors 2 x 29MM Vanity Style LEDS

Exterior: Reverse Lamps 2 x 921 Style LEDS / License Plate 2 x 194 Style LEDS / Front Marker Lamps (Upper Outer Corner of Head Light) 2 x 194 Style LEDS (One each side) / Headlamps 2 x D2S Style HID's / Fog Lamps 2 x H8 Style Halogen Bulbs or LED or HID Conversion Kit / Front Turn Signals 2 x 7444NA Mirror Style Bulbs or LEDs with resistor fix.

* All Available on www.v-leds.com *Except the 7444NA's

Tony, thanks for this valuable information.

If you don't mind, can you tell me which 921 bulb you used for your reverse lights please?

Thanks,
Allan

It seems that a few have used a 921 bulb in place of the 194 for the trunk, is this accurate? If so, which bulb from v-leds is recommended so that the cover still closes?

Thanks.

I used these for back-up, they are plenty bright. You won't get a 921 bulb that the dome closes.
