So which fog did you use to match the stock HIDs?

How did you get at this glove box bulb? I kinda pushed in that little cover by accident so guess I got to open it up now.

There are DYI for changing the in cabin air filter ... follow those but basically you need to take the glove box out. Might as well get yourself a filter and change that while you are in there. Pay attention to the orientation of the old one (what side is up vs. down). Once the glove box is out you have access to the light.

SUPER bright too. waaay brighter than the 5 LED Smt everyone uses for maps/doors/lic.

will these lights fit in the license plate casing, and will it be too hot? also, is it legal to have such bright license plate lights? i want to be sure b4 i spend so much money on them...

I thought the back-up light would be a pain but it's actually pretty easy and only took about 10 minutes a light. There are DYI's on it, I would not use the "tap the bolt with a hammer meathod" but rather the "give a good pull meathod". You'll know what I'm talking about when you read some of the DYI's and posts.

+1.

even the one that looks similar to that with only one LED was too bright IMO.

^^ hmm, i wish i could see these lights in a video or something. i read some of the reviews, and half the people said too bright while the other half raved about it. im no attention ***** but i feel my v-leds could be brighter.

does anyone know the v-led that has 4 out 5 brightness stars that would fit the license plate? currently i have the 3/5, and the 5/5 sounds too bright, so maybe 4/5 would be perfect?

go for the SMT 5 LED...its bright enough...if you get anything brighter it really looks kinda ridiculous.

I have them installed on my MW 2010 G37x Sedan and I think they look great! (License plate and in the trunk) They have nice size heat sinks to take care of the heat they generate and have been running good for me so far. I will try to get pictures up soon.
