Touch Up Paint or Body Shop?
i was driving on the highway and i was a little bit ways behind a truck about 20 yards and stuff was flying out of the flat bed like wood chips and other things and i tried to get out of the way and went over a piece and i think it came up and scratched it a little
Damn trucks. I know how you feel. It can be fixed though. Take it to a few good body shops to get estimates and make sure you ask exactly what they are going to repaint, blend, ect.
I mean have u gotten scratches on your car before you got fixed and it looks great now? im sure alot of people on here have gotten scratches on their cars and have gotten them fixed am i right?
Mine wasn't a scratch. It was a chip. I've seen lots of scratches get fixed and not noticable at all when repainted. It can be fixed. The key is to finding a place that's going to do the job right. Make sure the body shop understands how you want it to look when finished. Express that you want it to look brand new with no waves or blending issues when done.
looks like i am going to use the touch up paint instead of the body shop because the body shop wanted to repaint the whole fender and the hood to match and blend it. I said ill just use the touch up paint for the scratch. Before i touch it up how should i clean the area of the car and what other materials should i use besides the touch up paint?
