Upgrading the H1 stock fogs

Hey fellow Gs, I'm thinking about upgrading the H1 fogs, I have been over and over the forum and there appears to be some issues as to if this can be done safely. Upgrading the H1 fogs to HIDS, is there any heat related issues? Can this upgrade be done safely so as not to void the car's warranty?

As long as you don't buy some cheapo kit off of ebay you should be fine. I've gotten a few kits from here, http://ddmtuning.com/, along with my 5000K driving bulbs and they are good quality and haven't failed on me yet. Plus they are priced really well.

I just picked up some bulbs from super autobacs or now super auto"toys" and installed them myself. It was pretty easy just a little cramped when installing. I got 2500k fog bulbs and they still look good.

Great!! I was thinking about something exotic for the fogs like 10000K (really). Don't care about illumination on the fogs, we rarely get any in Atlanta,GA. Does anyone know what the stock his are? If I replaced the H1 fogs with 10000k hids will there be a heat problem?

Running HIDs for the fogs is np. It wont cause any issues and will not void the warranty in any way. We sell between 6K-15K for our kits. Our kits are slim ballasts, full plug n play, and include everything you need. HIDs dont actually burn hotter than OEM, in fact they actually use less power. Install isnt the easiest on the G but many people have done it w np. Best of all, we offer lifetime warranty on our kits.

Thanks HpAuto I will be contacting you shortly. Think I'm going to go for the 10000k on the fogs (for that blue exotic look) and upgrade the HIDs to 8000k.
