If he is a responsible young man and and his family has the means then I say more power to him...

When I was a kid in HS my mother bought me a relatively expensive brand new car for its time- a 1990 Prelude Si. Thats what started my love for cars and I was very appreciative for what I was given. Not all kids are irresponsible.

yeah my friends are like "wtf!" too. but its probably the "love" thingy BradManUWF talked about.
