Overlay applied inside housing on amber piece?

Would it possible to open up the headlights and apply temporary vinyl tint on the amber strip so in case i get pulled over and require a vehicle inspection i can rebake the headlights and remove the amber overlay??

If not I'll just go with bluebat overlays...but i really just want to get rid of the amber.. temporarily

Might as well remove the amber strip, if you get pulled over just reapply the amber strip again.

I thought removing the amber strip requires burning some 'tabs' and wont be able to put it back on later?

I think i read that in the DIY

You can use glue again lol. But if you want a simple solution, then overlay it.....

Does anyone know if the amber piece, parking light itself is actually amber? Should I bother replacing it with a stealth chrome bulb that illuminates amber? If i overlay the amber piece? or it won't even be noticeable?
