What she said.

Everybody keeps rattling off numbers, but remember that your tinter uses a certain product and he can only get certain shades. For example, if you ask for 15% he may only be able to get an 18% from that tint manufacurer. Not a big deal but when you go to talk to your tinter it makes you sound like you know what you're talking about when you ask him what he carries and what he prefers or suggests.

I have 5% all around and 35% on the front windshield. Visibility through the back is not good at night at all.

I would try tinting the windshield and see if that darkens things up to your liking. If not don't even waste your money ripping the old tint off just to re-tint it again. Add another layer on the back only on top of what you have.

By ripping off the old tint you are gonna run into a lot more headaches, especially with the back window because you will rip off the rear defroster when you remove the old tint.

15% is what I have, no real issues seeing out and until recently didn't have any problems with police, now I am having to drive windows half down so the light makes the tint seem lighter...damn po po
