Honestly I wouldn't do it. Only because you aren't here in NYC. The cops will most likely give you problems and then what? You have to ship your lights back to Igor and pay to have them redone to white? Be logical and practical, its not as easy as if me and STOOF are having 5.0 problems, we can take a 15 minute or less drive and yank Igor our of his bedroom. You cant.

If you read the post or thread correctly, I'm almost positive you would've noticed I'm referring to the OP who lives in Houston, TX.

Maybe either of the headlight gurus can chime in. How card would it be to wire in a switch to cut out the red ironmans anytime you want from the cabin?

Red LEDs in the headlight is 100% illegal, which means you could get pulled over for it, just depends on your luck. It seems like the NYC cops are cool with it, but I don't know about anywhere else. It's a big risk you'd be taking.

Separate switch is very possible. Someone has already done this. Different pattern is definitely very possible too.

Just to name a few others: wireless on/off, clap-on switch, or even light-sensing on/off. Don't let the current design limit your imagination. Be creative. I went to school for this, so don't let the technical aspect bog you down. You can always get someone to do that for you. There is a lot more possibility to this than you'd think!

But the most important thing, in the end, is to do it right and do it right the first time. So take your time in figuring it out the color, design....etc.
