HID Clips Secure

Guys I neglected to post this with my Phillips 6000k thread BUT when I did the install the small square washer on each screw fell down into the housing and could not be retrieved.

So my question is, did this happen to anyone else? Any concerns with the washers helping secure the U-shaped clip in the locked position or does the screw pretty much hold in tight?

I've noticed more headlight flicker on the drivers side (ever since eibach) when I hit bumps and I fear that perhaps the clip isn't secure without the washer.

Thanks!

Most likely I'll go back in and use new washers... I'm just curious if the washers play a vital role in keeping the clip in place....

I dropped a little thing in there too. I was following the DIY on here for the passenger side, but then i realized that you dont need to unscrew anything for the bulb removal at all!!

I was pissed... But yeah, it was a while back, and no problems yet.

^ Yep... after you unplug the silver "power" box from the base of the light there is that small screw at the top of the housing. I unscrewed it (it said so in the DIY) but a small washer fell down into the housing.... no way to get it even with a magnet... I was under the impression that the washer held the U shaped clip snug to the housing.

^ I don't remember unscrewing anything. You just replace it with your hands.

the silver box is the ignitor. id have to take my light apart to figure out what you did sorry but you might just try making sure your ignitor is turned so it locks/snaps completely. if that washer is needed to hold it snug, just get 1 from home depot?

yeah. that didn't had to be removed, it was just a push release kind of clip to secure the bulb.
i have a extra one if you need it! screws and clip. maybe i could just stuck it in one of those big envelopes and send it off to you if you need it. no charge!

i did the same thing with the first bulb i changed. ended up taking the bumper off to get the headlight off to get it out

then i looked closer and realized i didn't have to unscrew anything and felt stupid

you just need to squeeze the metal clip that's on the back of the bulb if i remember right

So I didn't have you remove the screw... damn! By the looks of it the gold washer holds the top of the clip in place. without the washer it stands to reason that the clip can come open and the light fall out of place.

Am I right or wrong? Going to go pick up two of them from the Depot or something. Weiboy can you give me an idea of the measurement for ea. ?

Thanks!
