I'm having my windows tinted on Saturday, and I'm debating which tint to go with. Ohio law requires no darker than 50%, but no one on here seems to have pictures of 50%. I'm trying to stay as legal as possible, but I could probably drop to 35% or so without having too many problems.

Does anyone have any pictures of 50% tint, or at least something lighter than the usual 15%-20%?!?!

 

35% is legal here in michigan, my uncle has 35% on a range rover and its looks normal, obviously at night the tint will make it look a little darker but you can always see through a 35% tint. My cusin lives in cleavland and he has a bmw 5 series with limo all the way around, he said Ohio police dont hassel him neither do the cleveland cops. Not sure where abouts of Ohio you live in but I think 35% is good. 50% doesnt really do much but your talking to the kid who has his windshield tinted lol.

I have 35% and i recommend it if you just want some tint for the sun or something but if you just wanted so no one can look inside i would get 20. Im switching to 20 sooner or later since i chose the wrong percentage. I can get you some pictures if you want, let me know.

looks like the white one above, def get 30-35% all around, u wont regret it.

 

Thanks for those pictures; they really illustrate what 35% looks like. That looks sweet, but I think it's still too dark for the cops in my area (small town, nothing better to do). I'll probably ask to see what 40% or 50% looks like on Saturday, but I'll probably wuss out and go with the legal 50%.

Sorry Comatose, I went with 35%. They had a bunch of employee cars in the parking lot with everything from 5% to 50%, so I got to see all the different choices on real cars. The 40% and 50% looked really nice, but everyone I talked to said they have never had problems with law enforcement and 35%. So hopefully I won't be seeing any blinking lights in the near future!!

 

Heres my G with 15% Tints. In Las Vegas the legal limit is 35% but its Las Vegas, so not many people follow those laws and the cops tend to let the tint slide unless your really not cooperating with them.

 

20% all around is the way to go. i have 35% in the front and i regret not getting 20%. the tinter sike me out on its illegal and i will get pulled over...urgh..
