hey guys!

does anyone know how much the average cost is to get the tail lights done at a shop so they look darker? i know an overlay is like $45. thanks!

I love the guys who get the roof overlays. I just think to myself, dude just go by a scion

i think its legal as long as you can still see the tail lights from a certain distance away ^

 

+1 I hate overlays. I ordered some and hated the fit. And it just looked like there was vinyl on the lights... which is b/c that's what it is. Here's some pics of a custom paint job on the tails I had done a week ago that I posted in another thread.

that looks good.. i havent seen them up close but i can see how it would look a little off close up. how much did it run you to paint it professionally. did they spray the outside or did they open it and paint the housing

 

They use a tinting paint on the outside of the lights then they clear coat it. Cost $180 b/c it was a custom pattern. If I wanted just the whole thing blacked out it would have been $100 even.
