Auto Adjusting Windows

Hey Guys,
Happy 4th. Just got my car back from the bodyshop and noticed the auto adjusting windows function (lowering a quarter inch when opening door vice versa) is not working on the passenger side. I'm going to try an ECU reset but any other ideas?

Do a search next time, please. Open both doors and then hold both window buttons down for a couple seconds and that should reset the windows.

Not to be unappreciative but I did do a search and have done the window reset. I thought this only applied to the auto roll up feature and not the auto adjusting. Can you clarify?
BTW - ECU reset didn't work

hmm. So only one side is not adjusting? Is it not adjusting at all? And ya the auto roll up feature reset is for the auto adjust too. By Auto adjust you mean when the window rolls down a little when you open the door and then closes, right?

Sounds like service time! Get your loaner and be on your way!!!! Let them deal with it and let them fix the other items.

As long as the window is not catching on anything it should be fine. I would try not to have anyone sit in the passanger side until it is fixed if possible.

No I had problems with my G35 not rolling down for some time it won't mess anything up there is still enough room for the window to safely close.

roll your windows down, then simultaneously both windows up. once they are both up continue to hold the buttons up for at least 3 seconds. that should clear things up for you.

It's in your owner's manual. Whichever window is javing the problem, roll almost all the way down. Now bring it up again holdind the button. When window reaches top, continue to pull up on the button for an additional 3 secs. That should do it. This reset process might be required any time battery is disconnected.

^^Why? Everyone else is recommending the window reset thing which I recommended. The OP said they did it but I am not sure. We will wait until they respond back. Now if the poster put in their original post that they did the window reset then I wouldn't have an issue since this would be something new. To many people on here ask the same thing over and over without doing a simple search. So do but just couldn't find it and that is understandable but MOST don't. As you might have seen, a lot of the new post that people ask which are on subjects that have already been answered are not getting answered anymore and a lot of times get deleted. People on the forum are getting tired of answer the same question over and over again especially when people don't do a search.
And I never apologize if I am not wrong; only when I am wrong do I apologize.

To clear up the confusion at the time of the OP I did not do the window reset. In the manual it states that it is for the auto roll up feature and not for the auto adjusting feature. Since this post I have and it hasn't helped. I'm going to call service on monday for an apt. On a bright note the ECU reset helped tremendously. Car is much smoother in both engine and trans

Just let us know what fixes the issue after you take it to the dealership if they tell you. Glad there was some benefit out of doing the ECU reset for you.
