Just got my tint...a bunch of bubbles

Quick question, when you guys got your tint, were there any bubbles? The guy that put it on said it will go away in a few days but theres A LOT! Theres about 10-15 on each of the driver and passenger windows. It has been a day, and the bubbles look a little smaller but there is a white dot in the center of every bubble. So does anyone know if these will go away clean? or should i bring it back to them?

Wait a couple of hot days. They usually go away. If they don't, take it back and ask them to do it over, NOT just roll over them cause that doesn't work that great. Ask them to pull it off and to place it again.

They just might go away though.

Rule of thumb: Look through the tint, not at it. The hotter the days, the better.

They'll go away in a day or two... depends on how hot the weather is.

yeah, they should go away in 3-4 days. But if they dont, get 'em replaced.

The tint bubbles on my IS350 took a whole month to go away. Tint shop said to be patient. Maybe the installer is just too lazy to get rid of them the manual way.

Yeah u should havewatched him do it. White dots is little specs causing the film not to stick all the way to the glass. Wen I had mine done he did it outside. Only 3 small bubles and they don't go away if it has specs in them

If you look at the center of the bubbles and see a little spec, those will definitely not go away. The others should. I had to take mine back on a car I had a few yrs back.

most of them have flattened but there are still dots. it seems that they kind of go away when I scratch at them w/ my finger nail

i'm going to give it a couple more days and if they are not completely gone, I will bring it back to the tint shop

I'm having the same issue using 3M 35% tint. I called yesterday and told them I wanted them to redo it and they said they would gladly, so we'll see what happens. It's not bad but there are a few small noticable bubbles on the passenger-side window.

Well the company that installed my tint wanted to have nothing to do with my tint and they did the worst job I've ever seen. It really looked like an amateur's first time.

There are two types of bubbles; Air bubbles which is very normal for the first few days to a week, then there's dirt bubbles from not properly cleaning the window prior to installing the film. If you notice specs in the film then that's considered dirt under the film which WILL NOT come out ever. It will have to be pulled, cleaned, then reapplied.

The installer I went to did a terrible job and there were tons of dirt bubbles in the film and they were giving me the runaround and weren't taking the blame for their mistakes. So now I'm out $280 and I'll be out another $170 to get it installed right.

By the way, don't use 3M film because it contains a yellow adhesive that will make the tint turn purple within a few years.

Luminar is a better quality and is backed with a lifetime warranty, unlike 3M which is only backed 3 years.
