guys, no need to make this an e-battle..if someone has the money to buy a fiberglass lip, let them..just stop going back and forth on something that is not worth it and will have hard feelings towards each other..

if fiberglass is high quality you won't have problems. I had a full fiberglass car and drove it daily with out any problems. Scraped it, bumped it even had it come loose in a trailer and hit a sink. It was not highly damaged. I did more to the sink.

Again, if its high quality its not going to be a major problem.
The cheap stuff we are used to in America is waht Max and most are used to. The high quality stuff is very pricy and no0t many have used and hence don't know.

I had Black Widow stuff back in the day. I would run only high quality parts but Urethane will be better if you bump your car and don't know how to drive a lowered car.

just my .02 with my past experience. Never ran a urethane aftermarket only fiberglass.

 

thats the issue. like you stated i dont think many people here have experience with high quality companies parts so they are making judgments based on the low quality items that are produced.

 

Just like everything else... I think to sum this up, both FG and Poly have advantages and disadvantages and you best do your research and find reviews prior to buying from a company as you may not necessarily know the quality of their parts. For most FG is prolly a reasonable option for those that only settle for the best, poly is the way to go.

 

i wouldnt say that, if you want the best carbon is the way to go. Poly is not the magical material you make it out to be at all. My ex gf has a poly kit on her civic and the fitment was horrible. granted it was a cheaper quality kit but thats with everything, there is ****ty FG and ****ty POLY.But majority of the major japanes power houses use two materials, FG/FRP and Carbon. not poly.

 

yea just do research guys and you'll be A-ok.

have high quality shop do installs and anything is possible even with bad kits.
