My new shiftknob:Forged Performance CNC(pics)

Just like to show off my new shiftknob. It came off my Z. Fits perfect. To me this is one of the best looking (IMO) ***** out there. Matches very well with the rest of the interior. Can be purchased from ForgedPerformance.com

Not sure what the auto setup is or if it's interchangable.

The feel is great IMO. So far as accurate, I'd say you really can't tell a difference. But I've had this for awhile and was used to it on my Z, so I might not be able to tell a difference.

Pain in the, you know. Was a lot harder than my Z. Same way, but harder. There's a recent thread here also about removal. Just have to lift the silver trim piece around the shifter/shifter boot, clamp the shifter rod with vice grips. Use a towel to clamp on, so it won't tear the rubber grament surrounded upon the shifter rod. Then have to use another either vice grip or type of wrench, also wrapped in a towel. Grap both wrenches and turn the hell out of the shift ****. It's on there hard. You most likely will tear the stock ****. It will take several hard twist before all the lock tit threads loose. This is just a basic of how to. You might want to read a little up on it though before going through it.
