did you have it trailered or driven to you, or did they get it as an allocation?

Oh, and you can't tell from the pic I attached to that thread, but I did get one with the spoiler on the back.

Driven to me. I'm sure the driver didn't follow the break-in rules, but the dealer they located it from had just received the car the day before (I verified via paperwork) and I'd rather have some highway miles (even if the driver beat on it a little) than pure test-drive miles of a car that has sat at my dealer for awhile. Either way, the car looked absolutely pristine, and had the exact options and colors I wanted.

The G37 I ordered was supposed to have the OEM spoiler but did not. Instead the dealership installed the optional spoiler w/o the integrated brake light. Looks great, fits great and pics are posted somewhere out there in G-Land. No additional money out of my pocket.

I'm sorry guys, haven't we covered this spoiler Q&A like 4 or so months ago? Is the "search" feature not working?

When dealers say "we expect to get a dealer-installed spoiler option soon" and aftermarket parts are continuing to hit the market, it doesn't hurt to revisit the topic after a few months.

Im curious regarding your location. They have been doing the "dealer installed spoiler option" since September '07 here in Houston. That is how I had mine installed.

Columbus, Ohio. And others in the thread (and on other threads) have also reported that their dealers do not offer a dealer installed option.

Curious? Hopefully yours and many will be doing it soon. The spoiler adds a very nice finish to the car. I had mine installed about 2 weeks after taking delivery of the car. Back in Sept/Oct.

Actually, if I remember correctly from reading the installation instructions, it leverages pre-existing holes used by the chrome trim. You just have to remove the old bolts and replace them with the ones included with the spoiler.
