Adding Rear Spoiler?

Dealer said they kinda sorta *think* Infiniti may bring out the rear spoiler as a dealer installable part sometime in the near future. Has anyone heard anything on this? My dealer can dealer-locate cars that have what I'm looking for, except they all just have the chrome lip.

I've seen one aftermarket spoiler at grubbsperformance, but I'd rather go with the OEM factory spoiler if at all possible.

^ What he said. If you get the port package you get the spoiler. If you don't get the sport package some dealers might install it for you but you will have the third brake light in the deck still. Grubbs is pretty close to stock looking though.

riverside infiniti sells the oem factory spoiler. the only problem is, between the price of the spoiler, the 3rd brake light, installation, and paint, you will probably pay more than the $550 list price for the factory installed option. also, you will have the highmount brake light on the speaker deck.

Actually, that's not true. My dealer has 7 Sports, none of them have the spoiler. And according to the brochure, the Rear Spoiler is a separate option, and in fact, is only available if you have the sports package (but does not come with it).

It's good know that there's a chance a dealer can install it though. I'll push harder on my dealer to find out if it's a possibility at all... checking around with other dealers if necessary. I'll report back what they say.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. Hmm... you have a point with the highmount brake light on the speaker deck. I don't mind waiting 3 months, but if it also means I'll miss out on the Infiniti financing rate specials, then I can deal with an extra brake light.

Get one with it if you can. As has been said it's a complicated add after the fact due to the brake light, camera, paint, etc.

Also, as has been said "Sport" does not come with a spoiler unless it was ordered with it.

I think someone quoted a bill and some change to get the high mount light replaced with the non-lighted deck...

That is correct. "Sport" does not come with spoiler unless ordered.

It really depends. The car is actually made without the spoiler but they are installed at the port if it comes with one. ou can tell which one had or has a spoiler by looking at the rear window to see if theres a brake light in there.

My advice, get the car with the spoiler already on it. How, find the car yourself. Locate your local infiniti dealers via Google and then go to each dealers web site and look at their inventory. You may have to drive 100+ miles but it's worth it to get exactly what you want and the drive home rocks.

My dealer gave hinted similar hope also. They said it took 7 to 8 months to get the accessory spoiler out for the g35, so one for the g37 should be coming anytime now...
