Well I actually got a ticket for tint. Not as a side issue, but actually pulled over just for that. So dont believe the BS that they will only ticket if you are speeding or something else. The cost was: 10 bucks but they force you to remove it, go to a court and let them inspect it or it will go into a worse problem. Of coarse I drove straight to the tint shop after I paid the fine.
By the way, I think the laws have changed here now, its no longer a 10 dollar fine, they got tired of that game I think it costs 150 plus proof of removal. And out of state cars that used to get by now are subject to the same laws.
My buddy had the same problem recently (got pulled over JUST for tint!). It really sucks for CA.
I'm thinking I might just stick to a lighter tint for the front windows, and darker for the back and rear windshield to avoid problems with law enforcement.
Is anyone getting and light distortion at night time through the rear window at night time? I've seen that in a couple of cars with tints before. Is that normal with tints?
