ClearBra for G37

Has anyone had a ClearBra installed on their G37? If so, do you mind sharing how much you paid for it and pictures if you've got them?

I'm trying to figure out how much to expect to pay..

Thanks!

I wonder if it is cheaper to have someone do this aftermarket instead of paying the stealership.

They want to charge $3000 for this + "undercarraige coating", which isn't really necessary here in Seattle since we have no issues with rust.

I have the Clear Bra and it extends across the entire front bumper and into the cut-outs. It runs up the hood about 18" (I have a nice rock ding at 20" now......sheesh!) and completely covers the front fenders and back about 18". I also have the side mirror faces covered. Essentially, this is complete coverage. I negotiated this at purchase for no cost to me, but I believe this is between $700-$800. I'm sure you can find it for less, but as you know the installation is key here. Don't take any short cuts.

On Black Obsidian you cannot see the lines.

Here you go. Parked among some nice friendly gravel...

OMG man, RUNNN away... fast

Maybe that clearbra is like the WHOOLE hood and front end?
My stealership charges $900... i kno some shops that have computer cut outs for the G37 already and do clear bra as their main thing... price ranges from $400-$550

I havent done it on mine yet tho... i dunno if i will like that line, and just how easy it will resist rocks and bugs

Even up close you have a hard time seeing it and the only problem is with some people that see the line and then bend over and try to "pick it off" 'cause they don't know better. I usually reach into the car and pop the hood just when they get there nose right down in there or lay on the horn. Either method keeps them from trying that again...

this is my second G i had the clearbra installed for about 800 my goood friend who does tinting and clearbras says it ranges from 400-600 depending on coverage but again its all in the install of it if your in the bay i heard Premier is the place to go they do Ferraris and Lamborghinis. On my BS g35 i had the full front door handles mirrors gas tank strip and trunk strip and yeah the people who think your cars scratched still makes me laugh when then try hard to pick at the film. I had no discolor issues after 3 years with it u can wax it wash it what ever its pretty durable i liked it cuz it doesnt streak so u dont have to dry as fast and when i come home i just hose the front down and use a lil brush to knock the bugs off but it does still chip no it doesnt get deep to paint but it gets alil annoying if it gets real dinged up and the film gets damaged but its a great investment espically on the trade the dealer was so impressed to how well it holds up espically on my commute down 80 in the bay area

wow, this reminds me of a saying: Punctuation is the difference between saying “I had to help my uncle, Jack, off his horse” and “I had to help my uncle jack off his horse”.

What happens when you remove the clear bra? Will the paint on the uncovered area have the same "look" as the area covered with the clear bra?

I've heard the same. My date for the clear bra install and window tint is at the end of this month. It's not going to be cheap, but it'll be well worth it. You get what you pay for.

Has anyone considered getting the whole hood done?

It should, if you took care of your paint.

Any indication if the paint on the G37 is improved over previous gen G35? I've been hearing Infiniti has done some research into better paint (i.e. self-healing paint) but I don't think it's available yet until the EX is introduced. It's still possible that the G37 has improved paint versus the G35 though.

If the paint on the G37 isn't as soft, would a leather bra make more sense for low mileage driving under mostly good driving conditions or are the clear bras that good and unnoticeale on the G37?
