Help Cruise control dial not working
Cruise control dial not working
Hello, I drive a 2011 G37x sedan and the cruise control dial to set/change cruise stopped working all together. The on off button still works and I’m assuming so does the cancel button (I haven’t been able to set cruise to actually see.) I’ve read some of the other threads regarding clock spring failure but in my case I just haven’t had symptoms to make me think that’s the case. Is this the start of a clock spring failure or just something simpler? All other steering wheel controls and systems work perfectly.
More than likely the switch has gone bad. Rare, but not unheard of. It is not the clock spring as the other buttons work as intended. Does the horn work and do the steering wheel buttons light up at night?
Yes the horn works just fine and all buttons light up at night.
Then it is not the clock spring. You will need to replace the steering wheel switches.
Best advice: scour eBay or any local pull-a-part junkyards for a used replacement. Keep in mind that on eBay at least, it may be cheaper to buy a used steering wheel WITH the switches still attached as many sellers do not separate the two.
